பயத்தங்கஞ்சி (Payathankanji)

Payathankanji is a healthy porridge which came from south tamilnadu especially Kanniyakumai. Green gram and rice is required to make this dish. coconut chutney or thogayal is used as a sidedish for this recipe. It is an alternate breakfast for those who eat idli dosa all the time. It can be consumed by 8 months babies to aged people since it is easily digestible. Kids love to eat this dish.

Ingredients Quantity
100gmRice
100gmGreen gram
1 cupGrated coconut
5 pieceGarlic 


Procedure


1.Put rice, green gram & garlic in a pressure cooker and pour 3 cups of water.

2. Don't add salt and leave for 3 whistles.

3. Once the gas released, add salt as required and 2 cups of water and leave for 2 whistles again.

4. Healthy Payatham kanji is ready
